I’m Celine Vanhoutte — creative director, storyteller and founder of Quelle Surprise. Originally from Ghent and now based in Vienna.

Quelle Surprise was born from my deep-rooted love for theatre, poetry and the art of storytelling. With a background in theatre and film, I bring a cinematic touch to everything I create — from intimate surprises and grand celebrations, to contemporary rituals and immersive experiences. Every new project is an opportunity to fuse creativity with emotion, turning every Quelle Surprise into its own unforgettable story.

FLOWER SHOWER
A bouquet delivered in person, accompanied by a poem performed by one of our Quelle Surprise actors. A simple gesture transformed into an unexpected encounter.

A one-of-a-kind experience designed for someone special. Throughout the day, the recipient is guided from one carefully orchestrated surprise to the next. The day culminates in an intimate dinner, where the surprise giver is finally revealed.

Griefyards 2026

GRIEFYARDS, is an art project that creates space for grief, love, and remembrance.
Across Vienna, letterboxes invite people to write anonymous letters to deceased loved ones. Ten of these letters will be transformed into artworks by artists and presented in a public exhibition accompanied by storytelling performance.
This year the project will also be present in Graz and Linz.

A whimsical, creative workshop series inspired by the delightful, dreamy spirit of Amélie Poulain. This workshop series is for children (6 - 10 years old) who want to unleash their inner Amélie and discover the joy of storytelling, crafting, and connecting through surprise making.
